Every year in the month of March class 10 and 12 examinations are conducted by the board.
The CBSE class 12 results were earlier expected to come out by May 25 and it was delayed after the Delhi HC asked the board to continue the in-practice marks moderation policy.
The announcement comes a day after HRD minister Prakash Javadekar told the media that the results will be declared on time. Previous year the results were declared well ahead on time on May 21, 2016, saving more than then days for students to apply at different colleges. "Results will be announced at 3 pm on Monday", it said.
CBSE class X result is likely to be published in the first week of June. "I don't think CBSE students will at a disadvantage due to delay in the results", she said and added that she is confident that its only a matter of days when the results will be announced.
Recently, CBSE along with some other state board made a decision to scrap "moderation policy" under which, examinees were awarded up to 15 per cent extra marks in certain papers if the questions are deemed to be hard or out of syllabus.
As per oneindia, the board may announce the CBSE Class XII Results 2017/CBSE Class 12 result 2017 by Saturday evening. Since the decision had come after the students had appeared for their exams, the court said the candidates "ought to have been put to notice" as they have the "right to know" what the CBSE was doing. Candidates who have taken national level examination like JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) and NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) were also waiting for the board results eagerly. The CBSE along with 32 other boards had chose to do away with the marks moderation policy last month.
It also asked the board why it can not implement the change in policy from next year as the results of the 2016-17 exams are expected to be announced in a few days.
