Alienware introduced two new versions of their Area 51 flagship desktop.
And if you've been holding out for more power in the Area 51 desktop, you'll be able to equip it with AMD's 16-core Threadripper CPU on July 27th. Dell will be the exclusive OEM launch partner to deliver AMD Ryzen Threadripper pre-built systems to market and the high-end 16-core processor will be factory-overclocked across all cores. The machines themselves, Azor revealed, will be launched in the United Kingdom in early September, while models based around Intel's Core X-series chips will hit the market slightly earlier on August 22nd. Pricing for both of these models will be announced at a later date. Currently, the Alienware GearShop tosses you out to Dell's site and its S series of low-key budget gaming displays like the S2417DG and AW2518H.
Following the successful launch of the Inspiron Gaming Laptop, Dell introduced the first gaming desktop in its growing Inspiron Gaming line at Computex and will begin offering it in the United Kingdom from early July.
Today, Dell's gaming division Alienware unveiled a new high-speed gaming monitor aimed at fast-twitch, esports-type gaming. Called simply the Alienware Advanced Gaming Keyboard and Alienware Pro Gaming Keyboard, both feature backlit keys and mechanical key switches. The Advanced Gaming model will be available for $89, while the Pro Gaming model steps things up to $120 for an upgrade to full RGB backlighting, onboard memory, and a dedicated volume roller. Both keyboards will be available starting tomorrow and will cost $89.99 and $119.99 respectively. The Elite Gaming Mouse adds some ergonomic enhancements, including the ability to change its weight. It offers multiple configurations with on-the-fly DPI to switch between precision and speed style gameplay. The Elite Gaming Mouse, on the other hand, has more buttons than you might think you need, carrying 13 programmable buttons in total. "Alienware's adoption of Max-Q's design will provide the highest performance available in a 15.6" laptop when it comes to PC gaming.
Driven by a fierce commitment to deliver what PC gamers want in gaming products and community, Alienware and Dell continues to make solid investments in PC gaming, virtual reality and esports through ever-expanding offerings and partnership innovation.
