Crews from Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island joined the more than 3,000 people battling the flames.
Robert Turner of Emergency Management B.C. said about 9,430 of the estimated 16,250 evacuees had registered with the Canadian Red Cross.
Numerous notices are due to the Ashcroft fire, which grew significantly overnight and has already caused significant destruction on the Ashcroft Indian Band reserve.
In addition to those, several fires are burning on the east side of Arrow Lake.
Since the fire season began in April, more than 616 blazes have consumed 1,140 square kilometres of land, forcing officials to order evacuations affecting 16,680 people.
There are also evacuation alerts in place for Clinton and a big area around this town in the Thompson-Nicola region.
An evacuation order was issued Saturday morning for the remote Clisbako area in the Cariboo region.
"It looks like that has worked in most of these incidents in creating a fuel-free area", he said, adding that high wind speeds could still move embers beyond the controlled areas, spreading the fires.
Officials are warning there could be five more days of hot and dry conditions.
"Unfortunately, significant rain continues to elude the southern half of the province for the foreseeable future", Environment Canada said.
An older fire at Woden Creek is 100 per cent contained and crews are patrolling for flare-ups.
Richmond said he told a meeting of evacuees on Thursday night that efforts were underway to restore some normality in fire-weary communities.
Crews are being commended for not allowing the fire to jump Highway 97.
The Walmart in Williams Lake has joined the growing rank of businesses forced to close over the wildfire situation blazing near the city.
People on boats or other watercraft hoping to get a "better view" of the activity put both themselves, and those working the fires, at risk.
For now, there are no imminent evacuation orders in our region, despite some active fires, but everyone must remain vigilant in this regard.
Many businesses in Williams Lake have already shut down due to a lack of customers.
