Erdogan arrived in the Kazakh capital on Saturday for a two-day visit. And Kazakhstan created such a cluster on the basis of the Nazarbayev University.
Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid and some heads of delegation will address the session, which will discuss recent developments that have targeted the Rohingya Muslim minority in Myanmar.
Participants at the summit are expected to adopt the Astana Declaration and the OIC Action Plan for the next 10 years, the FO said. The agenda includes formation of legislative base for the development of education and science sectors and the role of parliamentarians for implementation of national programs and priorities.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is attending the Summit.
KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev called for an end to the conflict in Myanmar, Kazinform correspondent reports.
Hesamoddin Ashna, a cultural advisor to the Iranian president, earlier said that Rouhani will discuss the issue of Rohingya Muslims during the summit.
"The occasion will provide opportunities to review bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and worldwide issues of mutual interest".
Erdogan had previously promised to raise the Rohingya issue at the annual meeting of UN General Assembly later this month. "The President will also have an interaction with the Pakistani scientists and intelligentsia based in Astana", added the statement.
Turkish president thanked the people and the Government of Pakistan for extending support to their Turkish brethren at the time of an abortive attempt of military coup. Nearly two hundred and seventy thousand Rohingya Muslims were migrated to Bangladesh from October 2016.
