As described by Wikipedia, "In 1303, the Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khalji captured the Chittor Fort from the Guhila king Ratnasimha, after an eight month long siege".
Legendary filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is known to direct many classics of Indian cinema is back with his next outing Padmavati. "I am jealous. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one of the most visually awesome filmmakers and he is on top of his game".
Deepika Padukone looks elegant and suits the role of a princess in the trailer. It then showcased the love story of Rani Padmini and Maharawal Ratan Singh. Fans on Twitter have been desperately requesting the makers to release the Padmavati trailer and there...there... looks like the time has FINALLY arrived! Ranveer Singh will be playing Alauddin Khilji, who invades Chittor in an attempt to capture the queen. Well let me tell you that the makers have locked this time for the first trailer because of a very special reason. It's clear that Ranveer Singh - the barbaric Muslim warrior - is the villain, especially since he grits his teeth, leaves his hair and beard unkempt, and sports animal-like mannerisms.
The trailer looks majestic, with Deepika's emotions clearly transferring as the god queen Padmavati. Every single shot re-establishes the genius of Sanjay Leela Bhansali when it comes to telling a historic tale with so much passion and zeel.
We're already short of words to express the marvel the has been created by Bhansali.
The film is slated for a December 1 release.
