The company also noted that it will expand context cards to include more third-party services in the future.
Snapchat is introducing a new feature that will transform the experience of using the apps at a fundamental level.
Swipe up on any Snap that says "More" and you'll see Context Cards, starting Tuesday. Eventually, Context Cards will include info from a host of partners including TripAdvisor, Foursquare, Michelin, Goop, Uber, Lyft, OpenTable, Resy and Bookatable.
The first context card that appears contaisn basic information like the name of the place, category of venue - eg department store or restaurant - and partner's rating.
If users share their location along with a Snap - either by submitting it to a public Our Story or by adding a special venue filter - Snapchat will let others swipe up to see more info about that location.
The Context Cards displayed vary depending on the type of venue and the details available about the location.
Context Cards are available in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand for Snapchatters on iOS and Android from today.
Some locations also have stories integrated into their Context Cards to make it easy to dive in and watch more Snaps from the places that interest you.
The Context Cards will always show you have most relevant information first.
Snapchat is taking a move straight out of Google's playbook with a new feature that adds restaurant reviews, reservation booking, and ride-hailing directly to snaps.
One trillion Snaps are taken in a year, 3 billion a day on average.
