As Nicki Swift previously reported, Bennington passed away on July 20, 2017 of an apparent suicide.
Before the episode was released, Bennington's family was consulted to make sure they were okay with the video.
After meeting Jeong, the group, with Bennington behind the wheel, sings along to songs like OutKast's "Hey Ya!", Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing", and the band's own songs "Numb" and "In the End".
"With the blessing of Chester's family and his bandmates, we share this episode, and dedicate it to the memory of Chester". He's laughing, smiling and having fun singing with the group.
As well as singing along, Bennington also took some time tutoring Jeong in the art of "scringing" - a portmanteau of screaming and singing. Whether his kids wished to become musicians or not, he wanted them to follow their passions in life, he said.
He turns slightly serious when talking about his children, and how important it has been for him to support his daughters' love of music. "Lily is curious, like, 'Daddy how do you write songs?" A tribute show at the Hollywood Bowl on October 27 will feature members of Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me the Horizon, and System of a Down performing in Bennington's memory.
