Right now there's a lot of uncertainty about what OnePlus has planned for a successor to the OnePlus 5 - stocks of that phone are very low, so does that mean we're going to see a OnePlus 5T soon? Alongside this news has been increased rumors about a OnePlus 5T, and while solid details remain slim, a pair of images of the supposedly upcoming phone have been leaked on China's Weibo.
It is expected that, the design of OnePlus 5T is asserted to have a Galaxy S8-like design with the edge-to-edge display and curved edges.
It is still unclear whether the smartphone will see the light of day, as there are speculations that the company will be skipping 5T to focus on developing the OnePlus 6. It's not like the handset will get a new camera or processor.
What has changed because of that full screen display is the placement of the fingerprint reader. This is happening for the first time, if it is true, to the OnePlus device that the fingerprint has been moved to the back side.
According to PhoneArena, the leaked renders look a lot like the Oppo R11s, a device that has leaked out in the past, but has yet to be officially launched by Oppo. After this we saw Oppo and other smartphone brands of China releasing the smartphones with thin bezels, nearly bezel-less. The two companies are owned by the same parent BBK Electronics (along with Vivo) so even if OnePlus does announce an Oppo doppelganger, it will not be a surprise.
The price for all of this may actually be in OnePlus 5 territory: Chinese buyers should expect to see something close to ¥2,999 or about $450.
