That's right. The famed 90s female pop group is going to make a brand new Spice Girls Reunion Special and release a new compilation album in 2018, following talks that have been going on behind-the-scenes in order to make a Spice Girls reunion happen.
Speaking to The Sun, an insider explained: "As it stands, they will be working together on a series of projects, which will include an album and a TV special celebrating the Spice Girls". The paper says getting Victoria to agree was the hardest part since she has always been the person holding back on a reunion.
This is far from the first Spice Girls reunion since they announced their permanent hiatus in 2000.
Fans of the girl group have expressed their excitement on Twitter.
Somehow, Melanie has apparently been able to convince Victoria Beckham to return to her pop roots, even though she's probably super busy with her global fashion label and four incredible children. "It got to the point where I just had to let it go", she told Red magazine.
"But gradually the ice thawed, and Mel was the one who drove that".
"The fact she is on board now is down to how much closer the five of them have become recently". Mel B, aka Scary Spice, Halliwell, aka Ginger Spice, and Bunton, aka Baby Spice, tried to set up that concert, and then eventually tried to start their own band, GEM. It is not easy to get them all in the same place at the same time. Obviously, we all miss Geri. "We're very confident, the four of us, and we've re-choreographed the show". The group reunited for a live tour from 2007-08, while they last performed together at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games.
