Over 11,500 cases against "stone pelters" were registered from July past year following the killing of Hizb commander Burhan Wani, media reports quoting officials say.
"The committee so tasked with the review shall be the same as was constituted earlier by the CM to review cases against youth for 2008-2014 period", said the Government Order issued on Thursday.
Of these, more than 4,500 cases, the reports said, were registered against youth who were found indulging in stone pelting for the first time.

The review of stone-pelting cases against the Kashmiri youth was a major demand from various sections of the society.
