Fortunately, someone told EA that "hey, maybe it shouldn't take dozens upon dozens of hours to unlock a plethora of light and dark side heroes if you want to keep players around". Well an update has been announced today to shorten the long grind.
In recent weeks EA has been heavily criticised in the media because the way it treat it's new game, Star Wars Battlefront II, with the release of getting in-game boosts, via loot crates, which could be obtained with real money.
EA detailed all of the info on the official Star Wars Battlefront 2 website. Every match you complete nets you more credits that can be redeemed for lootboxes, and if you do better in the session, you earn more credits.
Included in the first round of changes to the game's economy are the number of credits that players win at the end of a round, credits earned each day in Arcade Mode and the amount of crafting parts earned from each daily login crate.
Earn 3X more Credits daily in Arcade Mode: It's been made clear that you were hitting the Arcade Mode Credit cap faster than we expected, so we wanted to alleviate that by increasing it to 1500 Credits. Other changes that'll be found in today's update include a buff to Daily Login Crates, which will provide more crafting materials than before. You'll notice the change right away when you log in. Since crafting parts are used to make or upgrade Star Cards, this will allow players to progress and increase their characters' weapons, gear, and abilities a lot faster. In addition Finn and Captain Phasma will be available soon as well as the Crait map in Galactic Assault, and D'Qar in Starfighter Assault. Iden Versio's campaign will continue on December 13th in the Resurrection chapter which charts the rise of The First Order.
