Our rich narrative driven, action-packed campaign, and engaging and innovative multiplayer experience immerse players into the boots of a soldier fighting for freedom in a world on the brink of tyranny. That's four weeks of snow-flecked festivities in total, and participants can get a free Winter Siege Supply Drop every week of the event. Gun Game has been in previous Call of Duty titles, and it essentially pits players in a free-for-all race to get kills with different weapons in the game.
The Winter Siege Event begins at 10AM PT on Friday, December 8th and will be active until January 2nd at 10AM PT.
Sledgehammer also released a bare-bones list of patch notes for an update that is set to be released tomorrow morning, with the "full list of game updates on console coming tomorrow". The "Winter Siege" event will give players free Supply Drops, join 2XP playlists, play limited-time content, and collect special seasonal gear.
Call of Duty WW2's Headquarters hub area is getting a full festive makeover as part of Winter Siege, with snow, Christmas lights, and Christmas trees bringing a touch of seasonal cheer. It will be winterized, with the beach encampment taking on a snowy appearance for the span of the event. Captain Butcher visits Headquarters bearing Winter Siege Division uniforms, cosmetic items and weapon variants.
The first free Supply Drop is available from Friday December 8th until Monday December 11th and, from then on, a new gift will arrive each Monday until Winter Siege ends. Some days, players won't have to do anything in order to receive a reward (other than login). Winter Siege Supply Drops can be earned for free simply by playing Call of Duty: WWII during the event.
