A new leak suggests that Huawei may be hard at work on a beastly camera setup for the next entries in its flagship P-series. The question though here is will the upcoming Huawei P-series device be an imaging powerhouse.
Bruce Lee, Huawei's VP of Smartphones, recently said that the firm will "probably" launch all future flagships at Mobile World Congress, so there's a chance the P11 will be announced at the event, which will take place in late-February. Paired with the new lens technology mentioned above, the Huawei P11 could shape up to be one of the best phones on the market for taking handsome photos. And yeah, like the predecessors, the Huawei P11 is also rumored to feature camera lenses made by Leica.
According to an image posted by Evan Blass (@evleaks) on Twitter, the next gen Huawei P-series will come with Pro triple-lens Leica cameras with 40MP and 5x hybrid zoom.
We have yet to see any triple rear camera Huawei phones so we're not quite sure what to expect, but the extra lens may add some extra functionality similar to how dual-rear cameras can do more than a single lens camera.
For selfies, it also teased with a Pro Selfie camera that can produce a higher resolution 24MP image with greater clarity in low light. Moreover, the cameras may be once again co-engineered with photography company Leica. There are four different parts of the "PCE-series" ad, each featuring a different aspect of the device's cameras and software. Using new sensors and optics, the cameras will be able to take in 100% more light for better night photos. Additionally, the "Pro AI Camera Assist" will help with "instant scene recognition and auto-framing" to provide users with the best quality images in various conditions.
