Season 1 of The Handmaid's Tale left viewers in total suspense, with a final shot of Offred gliding away from the camera and into the darkness of a van promising an unknown future.
Two of the images are general, wide shots of the Handmaids in different locales, and apparently at different seasons (including one in which they are ominously being led through a snow-covered cemetery). Good luck sleeping until then.
A final picture shows a bloodied Elisabeth Moss. Other returning cast members include Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, and Max Minghella. She was also facing some tough competition in her category, going up against Caitriona Balfe in Starz' Outlander, Claire Foy in The Crown, fan-favorite Maggie Gyllenhaal in HBO's The Deuce and the millennial favorite to win, Katherine Langford in 13 Reasons Why. A man with a drum can be seen walking alongside the Handmaids in a matching outfit.

E! News spoke with Emmy victor Ann Dowd, Aunt Lydia on the series, after she received her first Golden Globe nomination ever, and she dropped some nuggets of information about the second season. I'm not being cagey! Perhaps this is a scene from Mexico, trying to create their own version of Gilead's handmaid program.
"Everything from the design of their costumes to the way they look is so chilling", Miller told EW. He continues, "These scenes that are so lovely, while set in such a awful place, provide the kind of contrast that makes me happy". Sometimes while writing the scripts, I just really wanted to surprise her, ' he said. But she is still looking as determined as ever.
