To curb such instances of illicit apps, Google said that it has deployed new machine learning tools that will safeguard its Play Store from fraudulent software. It was clad in the Holo-est of designs and it wasn't until the end of 2014 that we got the Material Design update that is still now gracing our screens. There are other icons available but no stickers yet, so it may be coming soon. In case you were wondering, the Motion Stills app by Google Research lets you capture short videos and transform them into cinemagraphs or sweeping cinematic pans.
There's no mention of if or when this might be available for iOS users. The main aim behind offering this service is just to let users visit the Google Photos app more often instead of using the native Gallery app on their devices. Meanwhile, when the AR stickers support was first on the Google Pixel 2, users got the ability to insert AR versions of characters from popular movies or TV shows directly into pictures and videos. Expanding testing to third-party app developers is a good indication that Google may finally have the platform advanced far enough to start making significant use of it. You can even use it to create looping GIFs or mix and match clips to make movies which you can share with friends.
What do you feel about Motion Stills?
For those who have already disabled the activation and want to check if things are running smoothly again, you can re-enable it by going to Settings Personalisation and pushing the tab back on. Further, when you open the app, on the primary interface you will see an "AR Mode" on the left.
The application delivers extremely solid augmented reality surface tracking, pinning 3D models from Poly like chickens, robots and dinosaurs onto surfaces inside one's environment.
The app will then ask users to select a plain surface for the polygonal stickers and through its surface tracking technology pin them in location.
