On Thursday, the party was factionalised in the state and a leader of the group, Shuaibu Inuwa Wada, queried the governor over alleged anti-people and anti-party activities, and also slammed an 18-month suspension on the governor's Political Adviser, Uba Sani.
President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday held a closed-door meeting with state governors of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at his Daura hometown in Katsina state.
He, however, said President Muhammadu Buhari, was the messiah that could salvage the country.
Ogedengbe, who spoke to reporters at the headquarters of the group in Abule-Egba, Lagos, said: "Such a delicate but very important assignment like this ought to have been given earlier, considering preparations for the coming general election".
Okorocha stated, "We have yet to discuss that (Buhari re-election)".
According to NAN, the APC leadership and top chieftains of the party would be converging on Daura to commiserate with the president who recently lost two members of his extended family.
The President, Middle Belt Youth Council, Emma Zopmal, said that there was nothing Buhari could offer.
"We all know that Buhari is transparent, honest". He should just play the gentleman and go home.
"We urge Mr President to run and fly in 2019".
"What has this minister to say on the failure of the Buhari Presidency to act on the leaked memo showing corrupt oil contracts at the NNPC to the tune of N9 trillion ($25billion) in a sector under President Buhari's direct supervision as Minister of Petroleum?"
"For instance in all the communities, rural areas and states that the Fulani herdsmen have left their horror, the ugly memories still linger". I have no doubt leaving here that the day President Buhari indicates interest for a second term, Kogi State would be one of the major sponsors.
"If Nigerians like the way he has been running the country for the past three years, let them vote for him".
He said Buhari will continue in 2019 and warn that the politics of Nigeria was no more the politics of money or do-or-die.
He added, "Our organisation would look at all that is going on in the country, we would look at what life has become today, fuel scarcity, and the insecurity in the country and see whether the President deserves a second term or not, in due time".
