The former One Direction star opened up about his family disagreements for the first time since rumours about his split from Cheryl surfaced this month.
"Liam and Cheryl held crisis talks about their future this week after he made a point of spending Valentine's Day with her", the source said. According to a report by The Sun, Payne is seeking legal advice about what it would mean for the shared assets of the couple and custody of their 11-month-old baby boy Bear. "If they didn't have Bear then they would have most likely split up by now". And they do care for each other so it's now a matter of seeing if there's a final way forward to try and make it work, ' a source alleges.
Reports about Cheryl and Liam being on the rocks only surfaced this week, but an insider at The Mirror has revealed that the couple have quietly been experiencing problems since December.
"Cheryl has always understood he would have to work hard and be absent but the reality is that it's not an easy thing to deal with... this relationship is hanging by a thread". The source notes, "Liam is willing to do just about anything to win back Cheryl, he can't imagine his life now without her and his son; they are his everything".
"It is not real life and is not the life Cheryl and Liam are now living as a couple, ' a source told Daily Mail". But it took them eight years to come together and eventually make a public appearance at Chopard party at Cannes 2016.
The pair have spent a lot of time apart since welcomed their son Bear, as Liam was busy launching his solo career after One Direction.
"There hasn't been a big falling out or anything like that".
Liam is said to be worth £54 million, but Cheryl, 35, also sits on a goldmine of a reported £20 million following her days in Girls Aloud.
Despite having a son, Payne and Cole have never been married.
