In a recent interview withMetro, Blair said that Diaz is "done" with acting, delivering the news while reminiscing about the pair's 2002 film The Sweetest Thing.
"I had lunch with Cameron the other day", Blair told Daily Star.
It's been more than three years since Cameron Diaz appeared on the big screen, and it might be much more than just a break. Referencing Diaz's marriage to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden, the insider added, "She's happy, in love and wants to make the most of her freedom and free time".
Selma added: I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films.
Cameron Diaz has allegedly retired from acting to focus on family life.
Actress Cameron Diaz attends a private luncheon in celebration of Hollywood Costume at the future home of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, California October 8, 2014.
This was revealed by her close friend, Selma Blair who starred with Diaz in The Sweetest Thing.
The actress last appeared as Miss Hannigan in the rebooted version of Annie almost four years ago. "She's like 'I'm done.", Blair claimed. As much as we all love Rupert Everett's rendition of "I Say A Little Prayer" in the 1997 romantic comedy, it is so hard to resist falling for Diaz when she sings "I Just Don't Know What to Do with Myself" at karaoke.
As the take-no-prisoners owner of a football team, Diaz flexed her dramatic chops alongside Al Pacino and Dennis Quaid in the Oliver Stone directed film.
Meanwhile, a source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "Cameron is constantly inundated with film scripts trying to tempt her out of retirement but she's just not interested".
Cameron has shied away from the spotlight after marrying rocker Benji back in 2015 with reports past year even suggesting they were planning to adopt a baby. At this point they would be very happy with the miracle of one child.
