Philips is taking its Hue smart lights outside with its new luminary, spot, and pillar post products. A few of the outdoor luminaires are ideal for mounting near a front or back door, so your lights can welcome you and your visitors to your home.
The new outdoor smart lighting comes in a variety of options, with wall mounts, bulbs and spotlights all going live later this year - all of which sync up with your existing Philips Hue Bridge and will be controllable within the all new Philips Hue app - 3.0 - which is also set to go live in the coming months.
Like their indoor counterparts, these Hue products are a tad on the pricey side but offer a range of features not available on traditional lighting products.
Both white-only and color-changing models will be available.
Finally, Calla is a bollard light, created to provide path or driveway lighting. The Hue white and color ambiance range is based on a plug and play system, making installation easy and allowing for full flexibility to position wherever you need light. The colorful wall-mountable Lily spotlight and Calla pedestal lamp will each let you set them to one of 16 million different colors, while the Lucca, Tuar, Ludere and Turaco will offer only white shades.
You can get the bulbs starting in July throughout the United States and Europe.
A starter pack will cost $129.99. The Philips Hue white range offers a number of products matching the decor of your house.
Philips Lighting will be showcasing its new Philips Hue outdoor portfolio at Light+Building 2018, at the Philips Lighting booth in Hall 0: Forum.
