The bye-election results to the Araria Lok Sabha constituency will be declared today.
The by-elections are important because political parties, both ruling and opposition, have tried a new political experiment in these three bypolls. In Uttar Pradesh, the bypolls had to be conducted after CM Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya vacated their seats in Gorakhpur and Phulpur, respectively, on taking office.
The tweet was directed at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) whom the RJD leader has accused of hatching a conspiracy against his father Lalu Prasad, when the latter was convicted in multiple fodder scams. The Araria Lok Sabha seat fell vacant past year following the death of RJD MP Mohammed Taslimuddin.
All the seats had witnessed polling on Sunday.

In Bhabhua, BJP candidate Rinki Rani Pandey seemed comfortably placed with a lead of close to 10,000 votes over her Congress rival Shambhu Singh Patel.
In Araria bypolls, the fight was direct between the RJD's Sarfaraz Alam, son of deceased MP Mohammed Taslimuddin, and BJP's Pradeep Sinha, who emerged the first runner-up from the seat in the 2014 general elections. In 2018 UP and Bihar by-polls elections BJP Were succeed to seal only one seat, by Pinky Pandey, who won the Bhabua seat by 15,490 votes.
