"Now with these four matches Karachi has a lot of cricket coming home so these people should welcome them in best way".
"Lahore had Zimbabwe, PSL2 Final, ICC XI and Sri Lanka".
But Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi said Sunday he had successfully negotiated with Cricket West Indies to have the series hosted in Karachi, the country's financial centre and most populous city. While addressing to Media he further said he was working day and night for this agreement and have just confirmed to play these three matches. West Indies have agreed to play 3 T20 matches in KARACHI on 1,2 and 4th April.
The south Asian country has remained largely starved of global cricket since the 2009 attacks on a bus carrying Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore, wounding six players and a British coach and killing eight Pakistanis. That is how we intend to put Karachi back on the cricket map once again. "Now it is Karachi's turn to rise and shine with PSL3 Final and WI", Sethi added.
"The PSL trophy will be taken directly from Dubai to Karachi, where final will be held at a jam-packed stadium".
"Their expert will stay back for seven days and conduct the security for West Indies series. The details about the venues, dates, financial model will be discussed later but in principle it has decided that three countries will play in the United States of America".
Sethi also announced that the final of the ongoing Pakistan Super League, which features several West Indies stars like Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine and Darren Sammy, will be staged in Karachi.
Sethi had last year announced a five-year plan that involved the West Indies touring Pakistan every year until 2022, but in January walked back on that claim due to the costs involved.
