Night on Endor will be coming to Star Wars Battlefront II on 18th April, with the new limited-time Ewok Hunt mode pitting Ewoks versus Imperial Stormtroopers. The headliner for the content drop is Ewok Hunt, a new game mode that seems like it will play like an infection-style game.
In Ewok Hunt mode, players fight either as an Ewok defending their village or as a member of the Empire trying to survive an adorable ambush. As each Stormtrooper is defeated they'll spawn as an Ewok until all Stormtroopers have been eliminated.
However, the stormtroopers superior training and firepower are more than a match for the frantic Ewoks. Well, EA apparently means it with its announcement that while it'll be bringing microtransactions back to Star Wars Battlefront 2, they'll be for cosmetic items only. Do so, and they'll make it off of Endor and claim the win. In Ewok Hunt*, Star Wars Battlefront IIs exciting new mode, spears and blasters battle for dominance as a squad of stormtroopers are ambushed by a tribe of Ewoks descending from the trees to channel their hidden fury. Over 50 additional Appearances to personalize your units will be made available in this update (learn more about Appearances and rarities, and get even more details on this update, in our Community Transmission).
Trooper Appearances Heroes aren't the only ones getting some new Appearances, as Troopers are also going to be receiving some brand-new looks. You can earn Credits through in-game activity that can be redeemed for Appearances too.
First things first: the system will arrive with the upcoming Night on Endor patch, which is set to release on April 18th. The update also adds a slew of new Appearances, such as Endor Leia and Endor Han; Appearances can be bought with normal, in-game Credits as well.
"Seasons will focus around a specific theme (such as a new Star Wars film, or an anniversary in the Star Wars Universe) and will usually span multiple months".
