Following the BJP attack in the wake of the Mecca Masjid blast verdict on Monday, Congress had said there was nothing called "saffron terror" and asserted that terror can not be linked to any religion or community.
The BJP chief was also scheduled to meet historian Dr M Chidananda Murthy and Dalit poet Dr Siddalingaiah to receive inputs for the party's manifesto. "But now it has been proved that they were not involved and the real culprits continue to be free", he said. Rahul (Gandhi) ji, terror has no religion.

Other senior Congress leaders like P.Chidambaram, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Salman Khurshid and Digvijay Singh had also said this, Shah added.
"The Congress party has done the sin to malign the great Hindu culture, which is spreading the message of peace & values to the world from ages".
Mr Shah later went to Dr Siddalingaiah's home in Rajarajeshwari Nagar and was closeted with him for almost one hour and sought his advise on Kannada speaking peoples' issue that need to be added in the manifesto. The number of mutts and temples associated with the Lingayat and Veerashaiva faith that BJP president Amit Shah visited in the run-up to the Assembly elections touched 10 last week.
Mr. Shah is likely to pay his respects at the statue of Basaveshwara, the 12th century social reformer.
