PlayStation has announced that their most "most ambitious project yet", Detroit: Become Human, will be launching a demo tomorrow in anticipation for the game's May 25th release.
Maybe the full launch of the demo was planned for the official store update that usually happens tomorrow at the same time for North American and Europe. Instead, it will soon become yours.
Speaking to Trusted Reviews, lead writer Adam Williams said that Become Human's third act has more than "1000 different combinations" in which events can unfold. It's tricky because if you're not careful, you may miss clues to the android's motivations, limiting your options when negotiating and forcing the rogue android to take more desperate measures. The Quantic Dream boss said that in celebration of the game going gold, players will be able to check out the first scene from the game during the demo. "Yours to play, to own, to hopefully cherish", Fondaumiere wrote. Players control three major android characters throughout the story (Kara, Connor, and Markus), and can directly influence the outcome of each of their stories by making key decisions through dialogue choices and interactive scenes, similar to previous Quantic games.
The demo focuses on a character named Connor, an android created to aid humans in hunting down rogue androids who've escaped their masters. Properly named "CyberLife", the Alexa Skill will provide you guidance and additional intel about this near future android filled world. This skill is also very in-keeping with the story of Detroit: Become Human. For example: "Alexa, ask CyberLife to tell me about the Phillips Family?"
