Stan Lee is being sued by a massage therapist who alleges he sexually harassed her during a scheduled session.
Stan Lee, the mind behind most of Marvel's superheroes, is being sued by a massage therapist who claims he acted inappropriately during two sessions in Chicago a year ago. "Lee was doing", said Aasim Cunningham, an attorney for the therapist, Maria Carbello.
Citing assault, battery and other counts, Carballo is seeking a judgment "in excess of $50,000, plus an award of punitive damages, and attorneys' fees and costs as permitted under the statute", reported The Wrap. This time, she did a Shiatsu massage, which was when she used her feet rather than her hands, just to avoid getting close to Lee.
On this occasion, Lee grabbed her foot and touched it to his genitals, Ms Carballo claims. "After seeing other women protest in connection with the Me Too movement, [she] chose to fight for her dignity by standing up for herself".
"Going forward, and going against power, that gives you some solace to feel that you're doing the right thing, and that you, as the victim, are not wrong for making someone answer for their actions", Cunningham said.
Lee, 95, denied the allegations through his attorney Jonathan Freund, who told the Chicago Tribune that his client was shocked by the allegations.
'For a long time, I was afraid to ask anyone to help me hold Mr. She says she left at that point, but came back the next day for round 2.
"He is rich and famous".
When she began to therapeutic massage his thighs Lee began to moan and groan, the lawsuit alleges, at which level Carbello lower the therapeutic massage quick and agreed to be paid for one hour as an alternative of two.
"I am still nervous and afraid, but not as much as I was before because I have other people helping me".
She did not report the incident because she was "fearful that, in light of Lee's wealth and status, reporting the incident to police would hurt her job", the lawsuit states.
Lee's business partner, Keya Morgan, told TMZ that Lee is "completely harmless" and "100 percent innocent".
