Gasoline is following crude oil sharply higher, and AAA says part of the reason is the White House decision to withdraw from the Iran deal.
While Oklahoma saw one of the largest jumps, the average price of gas per gallon is lower than prices in 44 other states. That means it is renewing sanctions, which include not buying Iranian oil.

Sacramento, CA, May 14- Average retail gasoline prices in Sacramento have risen 3.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.55/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 720 gas outlets in Sacramento.
North Carolina is now below that average - at $2.72. Modesto- $3.53/g, up 7.1 cents per gallon from last week's $3.45/g.
Today's gas price is 16 cents more expensive than one month ago and 53 cents more than one year ago.
Gas prices right now are 53 cents higher than they were the same time a year ago.
Analyst Patrick DeHaan of www.gasbuddy.com says some of the factors in the rising prices included President Trump's decision to withdraw the US from the Iran nuclear deal and dropping oil supplies as USA exports have surpassed Venezuela. Drivers in Missouri are paying 12 cents a gallon more, and the average gallon of gas rose by 11 cents a gallon in the last week in Kentucky and Minnesota. Analysts think chances of that record being broken anytime soon are slim.
"U.S. supplies are down a little", Williams said.
