Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige hinted that a movie of teen superhero Kamala Khan - aka Ms Marvel - is "in the works". In the human world, she writes fan fiction about her favourite superheroes, hangs out with her best friend at the local convenience store, struggles to stay awake in classes and at the mosque.
With the Marvel Cinematic Universe essentially being rebooted after "Avengers 4", there are a lot of speculations as to which characters in the comics will make their debut next.
As we all know, MCU will soon see its first solo female superhero film in the form of Captain Marvel.
Although Feige doesn't exactly confirm a Ms Marvel film, his readiness to comment about the teenage Pakistani-American superhero might indicate talks have taken place.
Marvel president Kevin Fiege stated that their upcoming film based on Captain Marvel - scheduled to hit cinemas in 2019 - has definitely paved way for a female superhero, called Ms Marvel.
"We're doing Captain Marvel right now".
And the fans are truly overwhelmed (in a good way) with this exciting news and they can't stop themselves from spreading the same.
Furthermore, ever since the news of Ms Marvel started making its round in the media, fans couldn't help but wonder who would star as the character in the movie. It reminds a little of Spider-Man but hey, doesn't this sound like a ideal superhero debut for Chopra? In 2016, the 35-year-old actor voiced Ms Marvel for a video game.
The company is also desperate to maintain its course in still pushing diversity through its creation of new characters and stories.
"She is a champion, she's a fantastic actress and she's a great human". We just haven't made any announcements about that'.
