The firm will now let you share voice posts as well, so you don't necessarily have to type in your stories, but can share voice messages as well. From Instagram, it made its way to another Facebook entity, WhatsApp as Status, and then on the Facebook's primary app as well.
Users will be able to put a background colour to audio posts or a background picture. This is the first time it is launching product updates from the Indian market.
Last August, Facebook announced that it was bringing Stories to its desktop site in a move that many viewed as a last-ditch effort to make the product popular.
