At opposite ends of their respective careers, the two men have both been selected by England manager Gareth Southgate for the World Cup finals in Russian Federation, where Young wants Alli to let his natural on-field aggression shine through.
Rashford has scored twice in 17 appearances so far for England and Young added: 'If you look at the goals he has scored on how many different debuts, it shows he steps up in big games.
"He's definitely been fantastic for us at United and he's definitely going to be a major player for us at the World Cup".
Young, who has been capped 33 times and scored seven goals for England, has made Southgate's 23-man squad having returned to the Three Lions fold last November, when he made his first global appearance in over four years.
"I wasn't in squads, but I said before that I never gave up hope of getting back into England squads".
'There's definitely going to be a good tournament from this squad.
Club rivalries have been taken into past England camps, but Young insists there are no cliques in the current squad.

Young said: "I don't pretend, I still see myself as an attacker, especially the way that we play with the full-backs or wing-backs high up".
He was in impressive form last season, playing in 38 United matches, but he says that, despite his versatility, he "would rather be attacking than defending".
