The Citizens have announced the signing of Algeria worldwide Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City.
The 27-year-old Algeria winger was an integral part of Leicester's astonishing run to the title in 2016, but has been pushing to leave the central England club for a year.
"Watching them from afar has been a pleasure", said Mahrez.
"City's performances last season were outstanding".
"I think we can be successful over the coming years and I believe my own game can develop under Pep's management", he added.
The midfielder who has been unsettled at Leicester following failed moves last season is now undergoing medicals at City.
Roberts, 21, has been suggested as a makeweight in City's bid for Riyad Mahrez after Leicester requested him in January before talks collapsed.
Mahrez was named 2015/16 PFA Players' Player of the Year for and was named CAF African Footballer of the Year and BBC African Footballer of the Year for that same season. "He beats defenders and creates space", he said.
After joining the Premier League giants, Riyad Mahrez asserted that he is more than happy to have joined them.
Mahrez - who made 179 appearances for Leicester, scoring 48 times - went on worldwide duty for his country in June and the writing was on the wall when Leicester allowed him extra time off.
He netted four and got two assists in the Champions League the following season as his side made it to the quarter-finals.
