The photo above was taken nine years ago at Owosso Speedway by Patrick McNamara, and it shows Jones being interviewed by track announcer Matt Prieur. Jones joins a list of many drivers who got their first win in this race.
The win comes in Joe Gibbs Racing driver's 57th career start.
"No, it's aggressive speedway racing", Stenhouse said.
Stenhouse won the race's first two stages, but was accused of driving too aggressively.
"I think it's going to be so close competition that we're going to leave each other no room for error and more than likely it's going to lead to big crashes", Hamlin said.
Stenhouse took the lead from Chase Elliott after 11 laps and then held off a late run from Kyle Busch to take the checkered flag and earn some bonus points. AJ Allmendinger finished third, followed by Kasey Kahne and Chris Buescher. "It's our first win and not much has felt better than this one".
NASCAR Cup Series driver Erik Jones (20) leads NASCAR Cup Series driver Martin Truex Jr.
"These restrictor plate races, when you get to this time of year, they turn into a mess every time", he said.
Truex appeared to be in good shape after grabbing the lead in the first overtime.
Even worse, Stenhouse was right at the center of the night's two biggest wrecks, including one early on that involved a number of top cars.
Although it was a relatively early point in the race, Lap 53 proved to be one of the defining moments of the night.
Busch's brother, Kyle, got knocked out in a subsequent crash sparked by Stenhouse, and noted, "Same guy that caused the first one caused the second one there". William Byron, also racing near the front, was involved along with several other drivers.
"Certainly never want to see that many cars torn up, but we don't control what goes on behind the wheel", O'Donnell said Monday at a media event announcing the distance for the Charlotte road course playoff race. Cars in the following group were swept into the accident. I know better than that. Truex beat him off the restart, and the No. 4 vehicle wound up getting caught up in a wreck that forced another overtime.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was involved in five crashes Saturday night.
Quotable: "My fault...we're not wrecking enough people, people are throwing too many bad blocks", Brad Keselowski after getting eliminated from the race in the night's 20 auto crash. "That's my fault. I'll take the credit for my team, and we'll go to Talladega, and we'll wreck everybody that throws a bad block like that". "He just told me some pretty cool things, so it was cool hanging out with him because I've always been a great fan of him". After a clean race to this point, on lap 47, the first caution of the day came out as Paul Menard got a bump from Jimmie Johnson on the backstretch.
