And she adds: "Elsewhere the bigger budget gives the film the firm smack of Hollywood pizzazz and a polish that was lacking in the rather ramshackle first Mamma Mia!". "It was amusing, it was moving so we said go ahead and here we are".
Speaking to the Today Show in the U.S., the 72-year-old singer said: "After I did Fernando [in the film], I thought it would be fun to do an album of Abba songs, so I did!"
Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! is out on Friday. "It's not what you think of when you think Abba, because I did it in a different way".
