Once Daniel Craig parks his Aston Martin and sets down his martini glass for good, heartthrob Idris Elba could be the next leading man to take up the role of James Bond if the rumours are to be believed.
Antoine, 52, revealed Barbara feels "it is time" for an ethnic minority actor to star as 007 and she is certain "it will happen eventually".
"Idris could do it if he was in shape", Fuqua was quoted as saying. You need a guy with a physically strong presence.

For some fans, that possibility is more than enough. Idris Elba has always been rumoured to be high of the Bond boss' wish list. "Happy New Year people", Elba wrote at the time.
A new James Bond is like a new Doctor Who, or even a new England manager. Elba addressed the rumors with humor tweeting back in December 2014. In one leaked email, Amy Pascal, who was the co-chairperson of Sony Pictures Entertainment at the time, told former Columbia Pictures vice president Elizabeth Cantillon that "Idris should be the next Bond". "Idris has that", the director added. The duo has written on every Bond film from the last 19 years ranging from The World is not Enough all the way up to 2015's Spectre, however, the studio opted for Hodge's script over the former's.
However, Elba once insisted that no one is genuinely considering him to play 007. It has now been reported that Luther and Star Trek: Beyond actor Idris Elba is in the running for the role.
He later lodged the idea of having a female Bond rather than another male. "It could be a woman - could be a black woman, could be a white woman - but I think, that character, everybody would like to see it have...do something different with it, why not?" Elba said when speaking with Variety.
