According to two people who were in touch with the family but were not authorized to discuss Ms. Franklin's condition, the singer of "Respect" and "Natural Woman", who is universally hailed as one of America's greatest voices, has been receiving hospice care at home.
Aretha made her final public performance in August of past year at the Mann Center in Philadelphia, reportedly battling through "exhaustion and dehydration" to "miraculously" complete the show.
When asked if he wud give her the official grown, he replied: "Oh yeah, she deserves it".

Franklin canceled planned concerts earlier this year after she was ordered by her doctor to stay off the road and rest.
As the Detroit Free Press reports, the couple opened their August 13 concert at Detroit's Ford Field by announcing that it was dedicated to Franklin.

The singer announced she was retiring from touring in 2017, and her final performance took place at the Elton John AIDS Foundation benefit in NY in November.
