Utah has seen its first death of the season from West Nile virus, the Salt Lake County Health Department reported in a statement Wednesday.
The virus has also infected people in Viotia, Halkidiki, Thessaloniki, Evia, Imathia, Pella, Corinth, Kilkis and Rethymno.
Mosquitos which carry a deadly virus that has killed 22 people have been found in Southend.
Symptoms include fever, rash, headache, and rarely, more serious side-effects such as meningitis could develop.
The provincial Animal Health Centre lab confirms two dead ravens found in Kimberley tested positive for the virus.

How can I protect myself?
Experts say the best was to prevent WNV is to get rid of the number of mosquitoes around your home by eliminating their breeding habitats. Identify and remove potential breeding areas on your property - empty saucers under flowerpots; change water in bird baths twice a week; unclog rain gutters; drain tarps, tires, and other debris where rain water may collect; and install a pump in ornamental ponds or stock them with fish. Make sure doors and windows have tight-fitting screens.
Avoid activities outside at dusk and dawn.
Dr Jolyon Medlock, PHE's head of medical entomology, told Mail Online: "While we have detected this mosquito species in areas around the Thames Estuary, we have not detected the virus itself". Check the product label for instructions on proper use.
When outdoors use EPA-registered insect repellents such as those that contain DEET, IR3535, or Picaridin.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
