The 34-year-old soap star beat Kirstie Alley to emerge victorious on the Channel 5 show, after a controversial series which saw Roxanne Pallett falsely accuse him of punching her "like a boxer".
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he said: "For me, normality is all I've ever wanted".
The Celebrity Big Brother champion discussed the "punch gate" situation with host Emma Willis.
"It was totally unexpected", he said.
While we were patiently waiting for relationship drama, it quickly turned into something else when Roxanne Pallett accused Ryan Thomas of hitting her.
'The thing that disturbed me the most is that when I talked to her, she said "ouch" and she said he didn't apologise, and you can see that he did'.
He took a deep breath as he fought back the tears over seeing the emotional footage.
He told Vine: "I've not seen any of that back". "That house, when something happens you can become very isolated but as it unraveled - it was just nice to have your fellow housemates support you".
Asked if he would like to meet with Pallett, Thomas said that doing so would not be a priority, but he added: "I think that Roxanne has been through a lot".
'I don't want to think of the experience in a negative way. Big Brother makes headlines and sometimes for the wrong reasons. It's time we look forward.
"I have a daughter that I want to concentrate on so it's not my priority".
She has said she now fears she is "the most hated girl in Britain" following the incident.
But Thomas said he's not holding a grudge over the incident and believes that Pallett has suffered enough from the fall-out which has followed her allegations.
Former TOWIE star Lucy, meanwhile, wrote on her own Twitter: "Your victor Thank you all so much for supporting Ryan till the end".
