The question of who was the first to lay hands on the other is still unclear. "I love Mark Burnett, by the way, [Trump's] buddy who sits at the prayer breakfast with him, that created this guy, this fake, that people in Iowa - where I'm from - think is this genius businessman from TV", Arnold said. No further details were immediately available, Herrera said. Arnold has been pressing Burnett to release recordings he allegedly has of then-Apprentice host Donald Trump saying the N-word and other awful things on the set of the reality show. Arnold was previously a Celebrity Apprentice contestant and Trump ally, and claims there are tapes of Trump acting offensively on set, and using the N-word.
The pre-Emmys fundraiser was the location for this latest episode in the tension between the pair, which has been lingering on for months over Arnold's insistence that Burnett release outtakes from President Donald Trump's time on The Apprentice.
Arnold also alleged that there is video of the altercation.
Burnett's wife, Roma Downey, remembers last night's events differently. Whether that was enough to cause Burnett to start this physical altercation with Arnold, is yet to be seen.
According to eyewitness Alyson Hannigan (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Survivor host Jeff Probst had to break up the fight. A source close to the situation said she tried to grab Burnett's crucifix, a symbol of deep religious significance to Burnett, as it fell off his neck.
Burnett says he's "not pro-Trump," despite Trump's own tweets to the contrary. We asked Arnold if he expect's Fogel to speak out on the incident. As both men were walking into the event, a scuffle ensued. But word of the scuffle spread quickly.
But Arnold describes it much more violently in a tweet sent out just before 9:30.
ET has reached out to reps for Arnold and Burnett as well as the police.
