Dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018), it's the company's first smartphone with triple rear cameras.
There are quite a few similarities between these devices. The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) features a 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 1080x1220 pixel resolution. The processor is going to be supplemented by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, with the highest configuration model getting up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We think that the triple cameras will include dual rear cameras that have a bokeh effect while the other will include either a wide angle or telephoto/zoom effect.
Samsung obviously wants to focus on the camera with the new Galaxy A7. On the back, it has a 24-megapixel, F1.7 camera accompanied with an 8-megapixel, F2.4 ultra-wide, 120-degree sensor and a 5-megapixel, F2.2 depth sensor (for those portrait photos). It categorizes the subject and adjusts color, contrast and brightness automatically to improve image quality. On the front side, there is a 24-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. Out of the box, this device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung's skin on top.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro is also said to have a dedicated Bixby button and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Samsung says the Galaxy A7 will be available in select European and Asian markets from this autumn in blue, black, gold and pink. No details on pricing just yet, but it will be in the vicinity of $400.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC. It supports sensors like accelerometer, fingerprint sensor, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, proximity sensor, and RGB light sensor.
"You will see devices coming from us in the mid-segment space with flagship features and functionalities that will delight our customers in India", Koh had announced on the sidelines of unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in Gurugram.
