Sources say Selena was at her Studio City, CA home the last week of September when the first emergency hit.
Selena Gomez has entered a treatment facility in Los Angeles to deal with ongoing issues related to anxiety and depression.
According to TMZ, Gomez was admitted to L.A. hospital Cedars-Sinai in September with an "alarmingly low white blood cell count".
During the In Dubious Battle star's most recent visit to the hospital late last week, she had a panic attack, prompting her to take action and book herself into a facility in the American East Coast, a source told People magazine.
She then "freaked out" and had "a meltdown", tearing the IV lines out of her arm. She's surrounded by close family and has a lot of support. Several sources called the episode "an emotional breakdown".
"Mood lol (I was looking at myself in the mirror - like an idiot!)" she wrote under the photo, later editing it to add, "Update: taking a social media break".
In addition to still being anxious about her best friend, the source told Radar tonight, she is still reeling over ex-boyfriend Bieber's quickie engagement and marriage to Hailey Baldwin just months after their split.
Again. As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given.
Insiders claim Gomez hopes that dialectical behavior therapy - which aims to identify and avoid patterns of negative thinking - will help her cope with the stress surrounding her health.
