A brothel-owning, evangelical Christian-backed Republican candidate who died last month has been elected to the Nevada state legislature.
Nevada's 36th Assembly District has always been a Republican-held seat.
On his campaign website, Hof had stated: "If you want higher taxes and the cradle-to-grave big government socialism, vote for my opponent".
His campaign manager actually seemed to admit at one stage that Hof's death might have improved his voting performance.
Hof owned brothels in Nevada - the only U.S. state where they are legally allowed to operate - and starred in am HBO reality show called Cathouse.
His name was Dennis Hof, and he styled himself after President Trump.
This set the expectations of Hof's campaign manager, Chuck Muth, high; as he suggested voters would still opt for the deceased Republican ahead of the General Elections.
Hof died at age 72 less than a month ago at the Love Ranch South in Crystal.
The HBO reality show Cathouse focused on the daily happenings at Hof's Moonlite BunnyRanch, a legally owned and operated brothel. Then, hours after celebrating his 72nd birthday with a wide array of folks that included porn star Ron Jeremy and former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Hof was found dead at his Nye County Love Ranch brothel on October 17.
He said he faced political retribution this year in the form of an anti-brothel push and regulatory problems.
Hof's Love Ranch brothel about an hour outside of Las Vegas, the same brothel where National Basketball Association player Lamar Odom was found unconscious in 2015, is where Jeremy and a prostitute found Hof's body.
In a previous interview, Mr Hof said: "This really is the Trump movement".
The legal pimp had also been accused of sexual assault on at least four occasions.
