The 101 freeway is closed as the both the Hill and Woolsey fires have jumped the freeway near Camarillo as well as in Agoura Hills near Malibu.
The Woolsey Fire erupted about 2:30 p.m. Thursday near Simi Valley in Ventura County and grew to 2,000 acres by 6 p.m.
Residents have now been ordered to evacuate from several more towns to the west of Thousand Oaks, including Calabasas immediately south of Highway 101 and Malibu on the coast, as well as from the western edge of Los Angeles.
