Stenson almost rallied from a seven-shot deficit in 2016, only to finish toward the bottom of the pack past year. "If I'm hitting really solid drives and have short irons in, it's hard not to be aggressive".
Rahm, who has played a heavy late-year schedule since helping Europe to victory at the Ryder Cup in September, said his game had been dialed in.
"Even if I make a 4 there, I'm going to have to do something pretty dang special", Finau said.
"Overall, it was a long week, but one that I hope the players enjoyed", Woods said in his role as tournament host.
"Tiger said that he did not think he hit the ball twice", Watson said.
Noren was two-over par after 10 holes and then after a birdie on 12 he completed his closing five holes in weird manner - birdie (14), eagle (15), triple-bogey (16), ace (17) and birdie (18) in a score of 70 that put him tied for eighth on eight-under. "He played incredible golf, and he deserved to win this week".
Though his playing is done for the year, Woods can not relax just yet. He was four over for the round after two holes, got it back to even par at the turn and had to settle for a 72.
"He was putting next to me and I asked him, because I'm not the best putter on Bermuda grass and I know it's kind of amusing to say that now", Rahm said.
Rahm has said all week the key to Albany were the five par 5s and two reachable par 4s.
Both Rahm and Cantlay showed further class by donating $500 for every birdie they made this week. "As soon as I got in the lead, my mind was still forward".
That looked likely to happen heading into the final hole, when Finau sunk a 10-foot birdie to take clear second and knock Rose into third place. His 1-under 287 was one stroke better than Japan's Hideki Matsuyama, who shot a 3-over 75 to close out his tournament. Rose has one more event left in two weeks at the Indonesia Masters. He made birdie on all seven of those holes Sunday.
"We play a lot of golf courses on the PGA Tour there's only two or three, so to be able to have those couple extra par-fives you just know you're going to have some opportunities to score and I've been able to take advantage of those opportunities", added Finau, who is nine-under on 15 par-fives through three rounds. Rickie Fowler also had a 67, and suddenly the defending champion is back in the mix at three shots behind.
