Law enforcement officials discovered DNA on Mayorga's dress from the 2009 incident that does not belong to Mayorga and want to see if the Juventus star's DNA is a match. Back in 2010, Lennard wrote in a "tell-all" account for the Mirror that she had a fling with Ronaldo during the time when the then-Manchester United star was seeing supermodel Irina Shayk. However, he maintains that they had consensual sex and he did not rape her.
Ronaldo then allegedly raped Mayorga, despite her screaming "no", before saying: "Sorry, I'm usually a gentleman".
Ronaldo denies all claims made against him.
"The LVMPD is taking the same steps in this case as in any other sexual assault to facilitate the collection of DNA evidence", the statement read.
As the night progressed, the footballer reportedly sexually assaulted Mayorga in his bedroom after cornering her inside one of the suite's bathrooms.
Previously, Legit.ng had reported how Portugal global Cristiano Ronaldo was accused to have ordered American lady Kathryn Mayorga to sign secret document for her to remain silent over her claims.
The police investigation was reopened at Ms Mayorga's request last August, shortly before the former model and schoolteacher filed a civil lawsuit in state court claiming that Ronaldo raped her and that she had been paid £294,000 to keep it secret.
