Abraham-Joseph, whose recent album I Am I Was debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard charts, is a particularly high-profile arrest by ICE.
The firearm was allegedly listed in the inventory section of the police report.
ICE has claimed that is when he came to the country for the first time at the age of 12. One man named Kalil Smith, who was in a different vehicle than Savage, was reportedly driving with an M4 rifle in the floorboard with the muzzle pointed in the direction of the officer. "As a minor, his family overstayed their work visas, and he, like nearly two million other children, was left without legal status through no fault of his own", the rapper's attorney, Charles Kuck, said in a written statement released to Reuters.
The hip-hop mogul calls the arrest and detention of the "Bank Account" rapper "an absolute travesty" ... and points out his U Visa application has been pending for years.

In the meantime, a legal team is now working on a case for 21 Savage, and say it was all a 'misunderstanding'.
Abraham-Joseph has three children who are American citizens, which his lawyers say make him eligible for deportation relief. "In addition to being a successful recording artist, 21 deserves to be reunited with his children immediately, #Free21Savage", wrote Jay.
