In January the singer uploaded a video to her Instagram account speaking out about her frustration over designers who are unwilling to dress her for being a size 8 (that's an Aussie size 12) for the awards.
The 29-year-old singer took to the 61st Annual Grammy Awards red carpet Sunday wearing a plunging dress with tulle. I just want other girls to love their bodies. The size eight artist turned to the Bahraini designer, who dressed her in a red-carpet winning look.
Emphasizing she can't be filtered, Rexha said, "As long as I can go to sleep at night knowing I was true to myself then I'm okay".
The singer topped off her look with a sparkly necklace with matching and went with a half-up hairstyle to tie in the look. I didn't expect it. "Joking with Variety, Rexha shared the perks of rocking a big dress: "[It's] puffy so I can eat whatever I want".
Fans and fellow celebrities applauded Bebe Rexha for calling out designers who made it seem as though women who are not a size 0 aren't considered lovely. But don't say you can't dress someone that isn't a runway size. Once on the red carpet, Bebe told Ryan Seacrest, "I feel like a princess. I just did the video because I was really heartbroken and it bummed me".
"When I was younger I put up a vision board and one of the things that I wanted to always do was be nominated for Best New Artist", Rexha candidly revealed in the clip. "For me this is my Cinderella moment". "I don't wanna wear your f***ing dresses".
Rest assured, Bebe ― the stunning look was the ultimate retribution!
