Fox News has yet to comment.
The network's support of Carlson will be put to the test on Wednesday. Fox News censured host Jeanine Pirro this week after she implied the head covering worn by Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is antithetical to the U.S. Constitution.
Carlson, co-founder of The Daily Caller, argued on his Fox News show that he is a victim of "the great American outrage machine", referring to the organized left-wing boycotts of his advertisers and the calls for him to be fired.
Carlson is not the only Fox News host who has faced an advertiser backlash. It becomes a busy news week, and he's not going to take the mob's crap.
Tucker Carlson called into my satellite radio show regularly from 2006-11, and like all my guests, he adopted an edgy comic persona for the broadcast.
A defiant Carlson opened his show Monday night railing against the liberal mob. The remaining company will include Fox News, Fox Sports and the Fox broadcast network.
In the clips, Carlson makes sexist remarks and inappropriate comments about underage girls ー he even defends Warren Jeffs, the former leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, who was sentenced to life in prison on two felony counts of child sexual assault.
Activists such as Sleeping Giants have relentlessly targeted the network's TV and online advertisers, part of its mission to hit the profits of outlets it believes promote bigotry and sexism.
Later, Carlson said, without evidence, that there was a 90-percent chance that pageant host Mario Lopez had sex with Upton after the show.
Fox News said it was looking forward to its advertiser presentation and wouldn't be swayed by the campaign against Carlson.
But Media Matters for America President Angelo Carusone said Carlson's comments have nothing to do with Media Matters and everything to do with his character.
"I'm, like, trying to help", Hannity told Carlson, before bringing up their colleague Laura Ingraham, whose show lost advertisers after she mocked a school shooting survivor. NerdWallet Inc., the personal finance company, said it hasn't advertised on Carlson's show since the end of previous year.
