Fall will indeed be a busy season for the collaboration, as the latest "Star Wars" film, "Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker", will be released on December 20.
What it doesn't have is a display stand, since this is not part of the Ultimate Collector's edition line - despite the similarities the box art has. The new Tantive IV - like the one from 2009 - is not.
At 1,700-plus pieces and two feet long, putting your other hand underneath might still be a good idea... The radar dish, for example, also functions as a handle to make the ship a little easier to transport.
Are you anxious to get your hands on some of these new Galaxy's Edge toys? It uses more pieces than the last release of the model, which was 10198 Tantive IV ten years ago.
Build, play and display a legendary Star Wars starship!
The 950 km/h ship was first seen in the opening scenes of Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977. Some of the original Star Wars cast members might make an appearance as well, with Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) at the top of the list. Remove the hull plating of this fantastic LEGO Star Wars vehicle to reveal a detailed 2-minifigure cockpit, conference area with table, weapon rack and a control console with 2 seats. R2-D2 is there too, though I wouldn't count him as a minifigure, and it seems you can swap Leia's skirt for pants if you'd prefer.
Updated versions of all five minifigs from the original Tantive IV are included: Princess Leia (complete with trousers to change into when the action heats up), C-3PO, R2-D2, Captain Antilles, and a Rebel Fleet Trooper.
The final tally of minifigures was 36,440, easily breaking the previous record of 35,210. That's a shame, but it's still a very nice set without it.
The packaging for these new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge figures is created to fit into the land seamlessly.
